When I was in high school, my friends and I had a pact that we would eat every pie that there was at House of Pies before graduation. It was really a pact between three of us, but we would bring more and more friends and make them order specific ones instead of choosing for themselves — you can’t order the strawberry cream, we’ve already had that! I haven’t been in a really long time, so I decided to make Madeline and Sharon go to lunch there with me today.

This picture, besides being blurry, shows so much. I am so happy to be there. Madeline and Sharon are going along with my flight of fancy, but aren’t really into it, and most importantly, you can somewhat see the hilarious aesthetic that is the lovely House of Pies.
